Bedford Church Collecting Soles for Souls, Leatherman's Loop Lottery Reg Open

Today all Bedford Hills Elementary Students students will be treated to a performance of "Peter and the Wolf." Accompanied by an actor, the Phoenix Woodwind Quintet will introduce students to musical concepts and themes while helping them act out the story onstage. This program is being made possible by the Bedford Hills Neighborhood Association.
2. The Leatherman's Loop Registration is open
The ever-popular road race through Ward Pound Ridge reservation is now accepting registrations for the Loop Lottery through Jan. 16. The 26th running of the race takes place on April 22. Click here for more information.
3. Soles for souls - donate shoes
Bedford Community Church is joining the effort to collect shoes, sneakers and boots (soles) and send them to people (souls) and places in the world where people lack any footware. The Church has collection boxes located inside its entrance. Stop by and drop items off, details here.
4. K-L BOE meets
The meeting gets underway earlier than usual tonight, with a call to order at 6:45 p.m. in JJHS library. On the agenda is a presentation of the audit on the special education department, a discussion on the BOCES proposed capital project and an expected resultion regarding an agreement between K-L and BOCES.
5. Rain, not snow in forecast
While many local skiers are bemoaning the lack of snow, some prefer the warmer temperatures we've had lately. Today will be in the high 40s, and there's 100 percent chance of rain. More rain tonight as well, with showers tapering off by 8 a.m. on Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
