The town of Bedford issued 96 resident dog park permits in 2011, according to Lisbeth "Boo" Fumagalli, town clerk.

Of the new permits, 86 were issued to individuals or families getting their first dog and ten were to people brave enough to add a second canine to the mix.

When Patch asked Fumagalli what the top ten dog names were for this past year, she said there weren't clear winners—the people of Bedford have come up with too unique a roster of names for their pets.

We did notice more than a couple of dogs named Lucy, and one we didn't get: "Beastieworks." If anyone knows that owner, we'd love to know the story behind that one. And if you're the one who named your dog "Trouble," we hope that is not a self-fulfilling prophecy!

But just for fun, we'll feature some of the most interesting names, a mix of "royalty, scholars, wine, cheese, flowers and spices, nuts and movie stars," said Fumagalli.

Check out these names below—is one of them your dog's name? Claim it by adding a photo of your pooch to our gallery below! Does your pet's name top one of these? Add a photo of your dog to our gallery and let us know what its name is in the caption.

Thanks everyone for adding these adorable photos! I heard from the Raimondo family and want to correct the name Beastieworks to "Beastiewinks." He's a toy poodle, 5lbs, and one and a half years old, named as such because they thought "he needed a little oomph being such a small fry." Turns out he may get a companion, a second toy poodle to be named Barbiewinks. Cute!
