1. Shop at Whole Foods to support Westchester Land Trust

Shop at Whole Foods, White Plains tomorrow, January 10th, and 5 percent of your purchase will support Westchester Land Trust. Candace Schafer said the WLT was "delighted to be chosen as Whole Foods community partner for its 5 percent day," and representatives from the WLT will be at the store greeting customers and sharing information about our great work in the county.

2. Planning board hears from Splash

Tonight the planning board meets and will hear the latest plans from the owners of Splash Car Wash, who plan to set up shop at the former Carvel site on Route 117 near Valerio Court. Meanwhile plans are underway for Russell Speeders to take over Splash's current site.

3. BHNA annual meeting

The Bedford Hills Neighborhood Association will hold its annual forum on Jan. 23 to hear neighborhood concerns and discuss plans for the upcoming year. All are welcome. It's at 7:30 p.m. at the Bedford Hills Community House.

4. Story time with dog and bunny

Author, dog trainer and Patch columnist Sarah Hodgson will be at Little Joe's Books tomorrow for Come visit as Whoopsie Daisy, the reading dog, and Bunny Wunny pay a visit. Children can either read to the animals or simply sit back and cuddle them as Hodgson reads.

5. Plans for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day?

We know it's almost a week away, but are you making plans for what you'll do with your kids on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day? At 10 a.m. the Katonah Museum of Art will offer art activities, but we wonder what else you like to do to honor Dr. King's legacy.
