Jeff has been a permanent fixture in the Lewisboro Soccer Club and other local organizations, and his dedication to the children of this town is evident in all his endeavors.

He has the integrity and necessary resource management expertise to make positive, informed, critical decisions on our district’s behalf. We have lived in South Salem for nearly four years, and have been attending recent school board meetings.  We believe the board could benefit significantly from Jeff’s thoughtful, considerate demeanor and his professional experience and competence.

Jeff Holbrook is not only well-informed about the KLSD and its educational issues and priorities, but he also brings relevant human resources and management experience to the school board at a time when this skill set is desperately needed.

Jeff Holbrook is simply a terrific gentleman—he is thoughtful, articulate, and well respected as a parent, coach and member of our community. One conversation with Jeff Holbrook and it will be clear that he will be an outstanding school board member.

Dear Editor:

We have known Jeff Holbrook since 2009 and we believe that his personal qualities and professional experience will make him an outstanding school board member.

Jeff’s role as a human resources executive at a global financial services institution gives him a unique skill set and the relevant leadership experience in the critical areas of current need for the Katonah-Lewisboro School District (KLSD).

Jeff has extensive experience in successfully negotiating with multiple stakeholders with competing priorities in a collaborative and transparent manner; planning and running meetings that respect time and result in actionable outcomes; harnessing talent across a full spectrum of professional and support staff for the greater good and extensive recruitment experience.

For the last two years, Jeff has rarely missed a KLSD Board of Education meeting.  This commitment has afforded him the opportunity to understand the issues of KLSD, gain an understanding of the way in which a school district is run and governed and advocate on behalf of issues that benefit the students and families of KLSD.

Jeff plays an active and engaged role with his second-grade twins, Nicholas and Mia.  In partnership with his wife Jo-Ellen, he is involved with their education, their friends and helps out with their many extra-curricular activities, including Lewisboro town soccer and baseball.

In an environment of unprecedented external and internal challenges, we believe that Jeff will bring to the Board of Education the necessary balance between managing the budget and ensuring excellence in education.  Jeff will serve our children, families, faculty, administration and our community with integrity, professionalism, energy and good judgment. The Katonah-Lewisboro School District is fortunate to have Jeff Holbrook as a school board candidate and we encourage families to vote for Jeff and to vote for the school budget on May 21.

 Sincerely,

Rory & Lisa Burke
