This used to happen to me all the time. The bottle that prescription pain killers come in says "Use caution when driving" NOT 'Don't f'n drive'. They need to leave this woman alone and quit harrassing her. They ruined my life with this small minded witch hunt b.s. and because she's related to the Kennedy's it's even worse for her. They'll probably pull this woman over everytime they see her driving now and drag her in for a blood test. It's called harrassment. The best thing she can do is get a new car with new license plates. Of course by the time they're through with her and these offenses, they'll have taken her license for a year or more. Not to mention mandatory jail time. Well, if Lindsay can walk hopefully this woman's lawyer can do wonders for her but the law is pretty clear about what they want you to do with DUI convictions. It's a big mess.

I have been ill for the last three years and have to use prescription drugs, there is a recommendation on some of my prescription medicine bottles that says use caution while driving, could impair judgement, which I was also warned by my doctor. Unfortunately, it is left up to the individual to make the the decision to drive, considering how various medicines could impact a person differently. I took no chances and have not driven in 3 years and have sold my car. There are so many people abusing prescription drugs, who are not ill and are depicting a negative light on those who are truly ill with life threatening diseases. Not sure what prescription drug showed up in Kennedy's test, but regardless no one...should speed down a road at 82 miles, this alone could harm or kill someone.

This is not true about different doctors, different pharmacies... This was in NYS, correct? In NYS as I believe it is in all states now- controlled drugs are monitored by the insurance company paying for the prescription, it is virtually impossible- unless you are paying out of pocket- even then, I believe they monitor names regionally. They even monitor cold medicines now.

I also think it is hyped, the police saw her record and jumped to conclusions about her being impaired, it is 7:30 in the morning for God's sake!! It doesn't state:"Do NOT drive." But regardless of pills, booze, cell phones, applying make-up, unruly children or pets, or loading the CD player, there is no legitimate reason to speed.

It was a bad idea to issue a conditional drivers license to her and I stated so at the time. She of all people could afford a car service and did NOT need to drive. I don't remember so many postings on any subject before on the Patch . All the OMG's what are you all "valley girls" ?HaHa. It is time to start making our dwi's and dwu's more painful for the people that commit them. Look around the world and see how other countries deal with the problem. Our death rate from drunk driving is still TOO high. Look out for your friends when you are at a party. Take their car keys when you see that they are in no shape to operate a motor vehicle.
