Patch Picks: 'Almost, Maine'; Knitters Knot; Big Bounce

There is something for everyone to do this week in the Hudson Valley.

 

"Almost, Maine" - A Romantic Comedy. Feb. 12. 2 p.m. On a mid-winter night, all is not quite what it seems in the remote town of Almost, Maine. Watch as Almost's residents fall in and out of love in unexpected and hilarious ways. Free. John C. Hart Memorial Library, 1130 E. Main St., Shrub Oak.

Stowe School Chamber Choir on tour from England to perform in Irvington. Feb. 12. 5 p.m. A select chorus of British students ages 16-18 are on tour and coming to Irvington to perform sacred and secular music in the sanctuary of the Church of St. Barnabas. An Irvington resident and Stowe School alumnus extended an invitation to the chorus to perform. $5. St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 15 N. Broadway, Irvington.

Couples Can Celebrate Valentine's Day With a Big Bounce. Feb. 14. 2 p.m. Any two people can enjoy a "two-for-one" special at Bounce! Trampoline Sports in Valley Cottage. Bounce! will be open until 9 pm. $12. 612 Corporate Way, Valley Cottage.

"Piecing it Together." Feb. 14. 6 p.m. Process is as much a part of collage as is the final expression. "Piecing it Together" is an exhibition featuring works by eight Westchester artists who explore this Modernist medium in the 21st century. Free. ArtsWestchester, 31 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains.

"The Glass Menagerie." Feb. 17. 8 p.m. The Brewster Theater Company presents Tennessee Williams' iconic American play, "The Glass Menagerie." It's the first production of its 2012 season for the theater group, which often explores how truth and illusion cross over. $15 for adults; $13 for students/seniors. The Melrose School, 120 Federal Hill Rd., Brewster.

Knitter's Knot. Feb. 18. 10 a.m. Teens and adults welcome to the Greenburgh Public Library to work their knit and pearl in the company of fellow knitters. Free. 300 E. Main St., Elmsford.
