These photos are of four veterans who stood in silence on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to observe the holiday and honor their fallen comrades. The four men stood in formation around the flagpole and World War I and II Memorial at Lawrence Circle in Katonah.

Each man was dressed in a different uniform representing four branches of the U.S. Military: the Army, the Navy, the Air Force and Marine Corps. They were there for the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, which represents the anniversary of the signing of the armistice that ended World War I.
