The 7 Best Irish Pubs Around

Irish Pubs—plus a few restaurants with Irish celebrations—with the best atmosphere, food, drink, and St. Patrick's Day festivities.

Historically, Irish public houses were common meeting places, where everyone from a town or village would gather to conduct business or to socialize.

A key feature of the modern day pub is that it is inviting to all. Pubs are distinctly different from restaurants and bars in that they provide an appropriate setting for families to gather, as well as a place for singles to mingle and friends to get together for a drink.

The best Irish pubs offer a mixture of a cozy and friendly atmosphere, good pub-style food and a wide variety of beer—preferably with a large selection of Irish ales. And to make our Patch Picks list, a good Irish pub needed to offer traditional Irish fare and entertainment.
