Fox Lane boys win
Led by 19 points from Will Trawick and 16 from Dylan Peretz, Fox Lane defeated host Harrison 70-35 in boys basketball Jan. 18.

B JV bball 1/14
On Saturday, 1/14, the Harvey JV Boys’ Basketball team lost 49-38 to Forman. Trailing 31-17 at halftime, Harvey’s offense stepped up and outscored Forman 21-18 in the second half, but the first-half deficit was too much to overcome. Leading scorers for Harvey were Harry Solomon with 9 points on three 3-pointers and Andrew Schwartz with 9 points.
Schwartz received Forman’s “Best Player” award for the game. Others scoring for the Cavaliers included Jake Berkson (5), Brad Rothschild (5), Josh Gannt (4), and Sam Mackiewicz, Tom Smith, and Jameson Scarsella, each with 2 points.
Harvey girls basketball
G JV bball 1/12
On 1/12, the Harvey girls’ JV basketball team suffered its first loss of the season to host EF Academy by a 32-24 score. EFIA's size was the difference in the game, as the Lady Cavs had to scratch for every offensive and defensive rebound.
Scorers for Harvey were Sami Panoff (12 points), Sammi Aloi (6), Vanessa Mackiewicz (4), and Shelley Pitterson (2). Tiaja Downer, Emily Pollack, and Sammi Aloi combined for 8 steals in a game that was competitive until the final buzzer.
