Hockey Rules Toughen Up, Food and Fashion at the Farmhouse

1. Knitting Classes at Katonah Yarn

2. Bellava Spa named one of Westchester Mag's "Best New Spas"

Last week, the Westchester monthly named Bellava in Bedford Hills spa as one of the best new spas in the county. The story said what makes it great was the combination of "medi-spa services with a decadent, pampering vibe."

3. Hockey rules get tougher in Minnesota, some locals want them tougher everywhere

In the wake of the paralysis of high school player Jack Jablonski, The Minnesota Hockey Association voted this week to implement harsher penalties for checking-from-behind in hockey. As of today, it will be a minimum five minute major penalty. We talked with some local players, coaches and parents about their take on the rules and what they think should happen on the ice. 4. Lego Creations Club

If you have a child under the age of 10 (and maybe even over that!), chances are, they like to play with legos. There's a club meeting at the Lewisboro Library, faciliated by members of the library's Teen Advisory Group. Its starts at 4:30 p.m., and you need to register your child in grades 1 - 5. 5. Fashion at the Farmhouse

Reservations are still available for this 3-course luncheon at the Bedford Post, where a collection by Carlisle, a high-end fashion company based in New York City, will be modeled by local women.
