Wetlands inspectors agreed no special permit was needed for a new 3,200 square foot storage shed on Martha Stewart's property, following on an April 12 site visit to the site on Girdle Ridge Road. Inspectors noted that the existing dirt road within the 100-foot wetlands buffer was stable and that access to the proposed building would not have an adverse affect on wetlands on teh 137-acre estate where Stewart lives. Bedford wins county recycling award In the category of "Partnerships of Municipalities and Local Conservation Groups," the town of Bedford with its Bedford 2020 Waste & Recycling Committee won for its Leave Leaves Alone program.
