Sweden 1888: It's midsummer night and the servants are celebrating in the old pagan tradition, drinking and dancing under the never setting sun. The Count is away and his daughter, Miss Julie, is out to play. "Dance with me!" she commands of her father's coachman, Jéan. And so begins a tragic cat and mouse seduction shedding a garish light on issues of gender and class THEN and NOW.
