Meet Foxxie, Who Needs a Home

Foxxie came up from North Carolina with her puppies and has been a great mother to them but is now ready for her own forever home.

Foxxie, a 2-3 year old, 30 lb. Irish Setter/Sheltie mix was delivered to the shelter in N. Carolina by her owners, just days away from giving birth. She is absolutely adorable and she simply loves, loves, loves her people. This incredibly affectionate girl is simply a joy to be with and it really is so funny watching her carry a toy in her mouth almost wherever she goes. And if she hears one squeak she gets absolutely thrilled with excitement. She loves chasing the ball, even if she only brings it back to you some of the time. This happy enthusiastic partner who has a real spring to her step is housebroken and enjoys being anywhere, especially if it’s with you. She likes going for walks or laying by your feet as you work and she always greets her foster family with her tail wagging and joy in her face. She knows her basic commands. She is very agile and could be a candidate for agility training if one was so inclined. She is able to climb/jump a four foot fence, (even though mostly to get to her people) so, an invisible fence would probably work better for her. Foxxie gets along really well with other dogs, plays with them and enjoys their company, but her true bond is to her family of people. As she finishes weaning her babies, it is now the time when Foxxie deserves to have a home that she knows is her own forever and where she can be doted upon and loved. She in turn promises unconditional love. Isn’t this just the girl you could see yourself with?

Okay but let's focus on the charter of the BOE. The Board of Education believes its primaryRead More responsibility should focus on creating an educational environment that will help our students become knowledgeable individuals, problem-solvers, quality producers, effective communicators, wholesome individuals, collaborative workers, ethical individuals, life-long learners, and responsible, accepting and involved citizens. We remain committed to providing a high quality, well-balanced educational program that supports our faculty and staff and helps our students meet and exceed State standards as well as high district goals. It says nothing about protecting the investments of taxpayers by voting "no" on every expenditure. We need forward thinking, broad minded individuals to help guide educational direction of our schools. Keeping expenses reasonable and and in check should be a consideration by the educational focus should be primary. Although novices, Trustees Tobin and Schiff have helped true the course of the board back to the direction of education. Mr Stone who himself admitted he had never even been to a BOE meeting before deciding to run offers no sense of motivation other than Dr Treyz and his friends think he'll help shift the direction back toward finance. Mr Holbrook is no different a candidate than Mr Lipton himself was 6 years ago.
