Bedford Central Seeks Input Via Phone Survey

If you get a call, please take the phone survey.

Bedford Central School District is conducting a 500 household/community wide phone survey to gather input about Bedford Central School District and the need for Investment into our schools.

The phone ID may come up Texas or Unknown. The surveyor will introduce themselves with their name, from Attitude Research Company.  

Over 50 percent of the calls will be to households without children attending BCSD.  We encourage all who receive a call to Please take a moment, answer the questions, and help shape our community through the direction of our public schools. 

In addition, All voters throughout the 59 square mile BCSD are welcome and encouraged to participate in an internet survey and provide feedback starting approximately November 1st. 

On November 13th the BCSD Community Investment Program committee will also host a morning and evening Community Gathering @ West Patent Elementary School to discuss the Capital Plan.  More information to come...

Okay but let's focus on the charter of the BOE. The Board of Education believes its primaryRead More responsibility should focus on creating an educational environment that will help our students become knowledgeable individuals, problem-solvers, quality producers, effective communicators, wholesome individuals, collaborative workers, ethical individuals, life-long learners, and responsible, accepting and involved citizens. We remain committed to providing a high quality, well-balanced educational program that supports our faculty and staff and helps our students meet and exceed State standards as well as high district goals. It says nothing about protecting the investments of taxpayers by voting "no" on every expenditure. We need forward thinking, broad minded individuals to help guide educational direction of our schools. Keeping expenses reasonable and and in check should be a consideration by the educational focus should be primary. Although novices, Trustees Tobin and Schiff have helped true the course of the board back to the direction of education. Mr Stone who himself admitted he had never even been to a BOE meeting before deciding to run offers no sense of motivation other than Dr Treyz and his friends think he'll help shift the direction back toward finance. Mr Holbrook is no different a candidate than Mr Lipton himself was 6 years ago.
