Celebrate National Soup Month at KVL!

January 7th - 31st 2013 is National Soup Month! 

Katonah Village Library is celebrating the publication of Kim Kovach's new book "Don't Eat That!" by holding a soup donation drive to benefit the Community Center of Northern Westchester. 

Bring cans/boxes of soup to fill our soup donation box and enter a raffle to win a signed copy of "Don't Eat That!" for your school library. Books will be available for purchase in the Children's Room during the month of January. For more information call the KVL Children's Room at 914-232-1233.

The Board of Education believes its primary…Read More responsibility should focus on creating an educational environment that will help our students become knowledgeable individuals, problem-solvers, quality producers, effective communicators, wholesome individuals, collaborative workers, ethical individuals, life-long learners, and responsible, accepting and involved citizens. We remain committed to providing a high quality, well-balanced educational program that supports our faculty and staff and helps our students meet and exceed State standards as well as high district goals. It says nothing about protecting the investments of taxpayers by voting "no" on every expenditure. We need forward thinking, broad minded individuals to help guide educational direction of our schools. Keeping expenses reasonable and and in check should be a consideration by the educational focus should be primary. Although novices, Trustees Tobin and Schiff have helped true the course of the board back to the direction of education. Mr Stone who himself admitted he had never even been to a BOE meeting before deciding to run offers no sense of motivation other than Dr Treyz and his friends think he'll help shift the direction back toward finance. Mr Holbrook is no different a candidate than Mr Lipton himself was 6 years ago.
