Harvey Remains Winless in Boys Hoops

Harvey’s boys varsity basketball team dropped to 0- 5 when Chase Collegiate of Waterbury, Conn. played host to the Cavaliers and defeated them 55-27. Chase controlled the game on both sides of the court and was a tough match for Harvey physically.

Harvey coach Dominic Narcisco said his team continues to work hard, and refuses to give up but needs “to take care of the ball, and be strong with the ball.”

Senior forward Jesse Zubren of Pound Ridge led Harvey with 10 points. He was also strong under the boards with nine rebounds.

Okay but let's focus on the charter of the BOE. The Board of Education believes its primaryRead More responsibility should focus on creating an educational environment that will help our students become knowledgeable individuals, problem-solvers, quality producers, effective communicators, wholesome individuals, collaborative workers, ethical individuals, life-long learners, and responsible, accepting and involved citizens. We remain committed to providing a high quality, well-balanced educational program that supports our faculty and staff and helps our students meet and exceed State standards as well as high district goals. It says nothing about protecting the investments of taxpayers by voting "no" on every expenditure. We need forward thinking, broad minded individuals to help guide educational direction of our schools. Although novices, Trustees Tobin and Schiff have helped true the course of the board back to the direction of education. Mr Stone who himself admitted he had never even been to a BOE meeting before deciding to run offers no sense of motivation other than Dr Treyz and his friends think he'll help shift the direction back toward finance.
