Theresa Gottlieb, Esq. of Pound Ridge Attends Iona College Trustee Award Dinner at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City

Theresa A. Gottlieb, Esq., Pound Ridge resident and member of the Board of Trustees for Iona College, attended Iona College’s 51st Annual Trustee Dinner at the Waldorf Astoria in Manhattan on Friday, April 12, 2013. Gottlieb is an attorney in the Bronx. The event was attended by more than 550 and raised $1 million (net) for Iona student scholarships. In his acceptance remarks upon receiving the inaugural Blessed Edmund Rice Humanitarian Award, New York City Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly noted that 120 current New York Police Department officers are Iona College graduates and there are hundreds more who are retired. Mario Gabelli, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of GAMCO Investors of Rye, and Patrick Dunican Jr., an Iona graduate who is Managing Director of Gibbons PC, a law firm with 230 attorneys, each of whom was presented with the College's Legacy Award.  The awards were presented by Iona President Dr. Joseph Nyre. Also attending the event were New York City Council President Christine Quinn and Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino. Andrea Canning, NBC Dateline Correspondent, was the Master of Ceremonies for the event.
