Bedford Hills Panera Bread Pays It Forward This Thanksgiving Morning

PANERA BREAD PAYS IT FORWARD ON THANKSGIVING DAY

BEDFORD HILLS, NY, NOVEMBER 28, 2013 – Take Home the Bread, a Panera Bread franchisee, will be opening its doors at its Bedford Hills bakery-cafe* on Thursday, November 28th to provide breads and pastries for the Thanksgiving tables of those in need. Light sandwiches and soup will be available as well. All served without charge at the bakery-cafe from 10 am – 12 pm on a first come first serve basis.

The cafe will also be accepting monetary donations for the Food Bank of Westchester County.

We’re proud to serve and be supported by this community year-round, and it’s important to us to give back during the holidays,”  Paul Ford, Direction of Operations for Take Home the Bread, “We’re welcoming all our neighbors to the cafe on Thanksgiving morning.”

Panera Bread has worked to help combat the problem of hunger for 25 years, since it began donating unsold bread and baked goods to local organizations. Under its Day-End Dough-Nation™ program, in 2012, Panera Bread bakery-cafes nationally (company and franchise) donated a retail value of approximately $100 million worth of unsold bread and baked goods to help neighbors in need.
