Grand Prix New York Adds Slot Car Racing

Grand Prix New York (GPNY) – the area’s leading indoor entertainment and team-building venue – proudly announces their newest attraction designed to meet your need for speed with the addition of  slot car racing to its expanding array of attractions.

Grand Prix’s newest addition for racing enthusiasts of all ages features an 80 foot long slot track with adjustable speeds, which allows younger racers to enjoy the racing experience as much as older racers.  Drivers are able to design and build their own custom NASCAR body in GPNY’s Art Garage using supplied sticker kits and then head for the slot track.  After they’re finished racing, drivers can take their cars home with them.  Once they’re issued their racing license, racers can then return to Grand Prix for unlimited racing for only $5 when the track is available.

Participants can choose from two car party options - “The Auto Body Shop”, which includes cars customized with stickers and hour of racing and “The Mechanic’s Shop”, which also includes customized cars and an hour of racing, plus the option for racers to equip their slot cars with a customized racing chassis.  Assembly and customization are completed in Grand Prix’s Art Garage, its new visual arts studio for kids, teens and adults.

“Slot car racing is a logical extension to our existing racing-related offerings and fits very well with our long term goal of making Grand Prix a destination where families, friends and corporate groups can enjoy time together doing whatever it is they love, all under one roof.” said GPNY Vice President Nat Mundy.

Slot car racing is the latest in a series of additions to GPNY’s varied entertainment offerings, including Spins Bowl, Art Garage, an expanded arcade and a world-class racing simulator.  All venues are located within Grand Prix New York at 333 North Bedford Road in Mount Kisco, New York.
