John Jay Vocal Jazz places 3rd at National Festival

  Cross River, NY, February 11, 2014 —. The high school's select Vocal Jazz ensemble placed 3rd out of 17 groups in their division at the Berklee High School Jazz Festival this past Saturday in Boston. Thirty-eight students represented the school under the direction of Steven Morse where they performed three pieces. This is the groups' 12th year attending this event and they have placed in each of the last four years. John Jay Vocal Jazz is available to all students and auditions will take place in early March for next years' ensemble.
