Long-time Board Members Elected as New Officers to the Board of Directors at Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester

The Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester (BGCNW) recently elected new officers to its board of directors; R. Todd Rockefeller will now serve as board president, Muffin Dowdle will serve as vice president, and Marc Weisenfreund will serve as secretary. Each member has served on the Club’s board for more than a decade. In addition, Linda Mahon has been reappointed treasurer for her second term.

R. Todd Rockefeller has been a member of the BGCNW board of directors since 2000. He is also a Club alumnus, having learned to swim at the Club as a child. Rockefeller is currently a partner at DRSW and is past president of the Westchester chapter of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of New York, and currently serves as Secretary Treasurer on the organization’s board at the state level. He also serves on the Westchester-Putnam Boy Scouts Board. Rockefeller and his family live in Ridgefield, CT.

Muffin Dowdle has been a real estate agent in the Northern Westchester community for 25 years. A Club alumnae herself, Dowdle and her 10 siblings participated in after school sports and learned to swim at BGCNW. Years later, Dowdle returned to the Club as a board member and has now been serving for nearly 20 years. She is committed to her role and has also served as chair of the Humanitarian Award Dinner Committee for the last three years. Dowdle and her family reside in Pound Ridge, NY.

Marc Weisenfreund began his career on the BGCNW board of directors more than 18 years ago. A newcomer to the organization, Weisenfreund quickly saw the positive influence the Club had on the community’s youth and became heavily involved. He served as the first president of the New York State Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs and currently serves as vice president. He has also served on various committees over the last two decades and remains committed to the organization’s mission. Weisenfreund currently practices law independently and he and his wife reside in Pound Ridge, NY.

Linda A. Mahon works in the private wealth management and asset management areas of finance. She was formerly vice president at US Trust Company, Solomon Smith Barney, and Paribas Asset Management, among other major Wall Street firms. Mahon has been on the board of BGCNW since 2009 and is chair of the Club’s finance committee in addition to her duties as treasurer. She has been an associate chair of the Club's Humanitarian Dinner Committee for several years, and this year will serve as one of three chairs of the event. Mahon is past president and a long-standing board member of the Mt. Kisco Child Care Center and chaired the 2009 John Jay Homestead House Tour in Bedford. She currently resides in Bedford Corners with her husband.
