People’s United Community Foundation Awards $4,000 to Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester

Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester announced today it has been awarded a $4,000 grant from The People’s United Community Foundation, the philanthropic arm of People’s United Bank.

The Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester makes a positive difference in the lives of young people by enabling youth to realize their full potential as responsible, productive and caring citizens. The grant from People’s United Community Foundation will support the Education Enrichment Program. This program creates a supportive learning environment where students receive homework assistance and tutoring, and engage in computer training, career exploration, financial education, and other high-yield learning activities.

“We are so grateful to People’s United for their generous gift,” said BGCNW Executive Director Brian Skanes. “These funds will allow us to open our doors to more children after school, providing a supportive environment for furthering their education.”
