The SafeWise Report Announces the 50 Safest Cities in New York
The SafeWise Report released its “50 Safest Cities in New York” list this week. To compile this report, SafeWise used the most recent FBI crime data from 2011, population, and other ranking factors, like unique safety initiatives and security programs implemented within the past few years. From the hundreds of cities in New York, we narrowed the list down to 50 and assigned rankings according to how the city met our criteria. Bedford, NY made the list!
“I found an overwhelming majority of New York’s safest cities enjoy long and fascinating histories,” SafeWise security analyst Alexia Chianis said. “It was also apparent that community members frequently join together to celebrate their past and brainstorm innovative programs to ensure future generations benefit from the same safe environment residents do today.”
