Thoughts on the 50th Anniversary of Bible Readings in School

Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 7:00 pm at First Parish in Concord, 20 Lexington Rd, Concord, MA.

Meet the man in person responsible for bringing this landmark case all the way to the Supreme Court 50 years ago – Ellery Schempp.  Meet the man in person and hear what he has to say about the state of separation of church and state, 50 years after the Abington v. Schempp verdict.

Wikopedia:  "Ellery Schempp is an accomplished physicist and is also famous for being the primary student involved in the landmark 1963 United States Supreme Court case of Abington School District v. Schempp which declared that required public-school-sanctioned Bible readings were unconstitutional".
