Westchester Oratorio Society begins rehearsals in Katonah on Sept 3
Westchester Oratorio Society begins rehearsals in Katonah on Tuesday, September 3 for the group’s 2013-2014 Season – its 17th, and the seventh under the direction of Benjamin Niemczyk, at the Garden Room at the Katonah Library, just a short walk from the Metro North station.
Season highlights include two performances of Handel's Messiah, the first on Sunday afternoon, November 24, at the South Salem Presbyterian Church, and the second on Saturday evening, December 7, at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Mount Kisco, NY. The spring season features another exciting collaboration with the esteemed REBEL Baroque Orchestra, featuring Vivaldi’s Gloria with period instruments, on Sunday afternoon, May 4, also at the South Salem Presbyterian Church.

Competent singers in all voice parts with an ability to read music are welcome to join. Prospective members are invited to a free Open House and Rehearsal on Tuesday, September 10, from 7:30 to 10 PM.
