We are April Bukofser and Marin Milio mompreneur and co-founders of AprilMarin, a women’s clothing and accessory company here in Westchester. Founded out of a deeply rooted love for fashion, our company has allowed us to pursue our dreams in fashion and still be great moms to our daughters (we each have two!)
While creating and working on our business is our passion, there are points in time when you know all of the work you have put in is beginning to really pay off! For us one of these times was when Hollywood came calling – and we said yes! AprilMarin Clothing was selected be included in one of Hollywood’s most coveted prizes…THE SWAG BAG at the 2013 Golden Globes!!
Everyone and anyone wants access to the “A” listers who glide across that red carpet as if they were floating on air and what do those celebs want - the fabulously sought after Hollywood caliber goodies that go along with the annual award season events! At the 2013 Golden Globes, two of those fabulous goodies were our AprilMarin City Ruffle Shawl and our Furry Paws Fingerless Gloves which were included in the bag and given to celebrities like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Claire Danes, Anne Hathaway, Amy Adams, Jessica Chastain, Jennifer Lopez just to name drop a few!
The story doesn’t end there, we were then approached by The Wendy Williams Show who wanted to give her studio audience (and some lucky at home viewers) a taste of the coveted “swag bag” by giving them one of our City Ruffle Shawl’s during her show’s “Live Like A Star” giveaway on January 29th!
