Flash Flood Warning In Effect until 5:30PM

The National Weather Service In Upton Ny has issued a flash flood warning that includes Westchester County as heavy rains cause problems for the evening commute.

"The lower Hudson Valley has taken the place of the what the Mid and Upper Hudson Valley dealt with yesterday," reports Hudson Valley Weather. "A continuous feed of heavy rain continues to hammer the same regions with flash flooding becoming an increasing concern and in some cases a reality. Right now Westchester and Rockland Counties are dealing with the worst of this rainfall."

The Hutchinson River Parkway and Bronx River Parkways are closed due to flooding, according to the state DOT.

Thunderstorms are expected to moved through the area with heavy rain.
