How Much Snow is Coming? Too Early To Predict

A narrow strip of heavy snow will be at the center of the snow storm expected to start March 2, according to Hudson Valley Weather.  And it's too early to tell whether that band will pass to the south of Rockland, Putnam and Westchester counties—or how far south.

"The exact position of this boundary can mean the difference between 3-6 inches or 6-12 inches+ which is why it's important not to focus on accumulations just yet," the HVW team wrote.

The probability of at least 3 inches is 90 percent.

Patch's weather coverage dates back to its beginnings. Here's a story we wrote before Hurricane Irene! http://ossining.patch.com/groups/editors-picks/p/hurricane-irene-expected-to-hit-ny-sunday

I don't mind the weather coverage. What I don't like is old stories and posts. We should be current with stories and events in our local area only and people should make coherent comments not rants and ugly language when they are making a point. I don't see many clear comments or willingness to listen on this site. Many people seem to pick a topic, fit their ideas into it and post, even it all the facts are not presented. I guess that's human nature and also why there's very little effective progress, even with the supposed grown-ups in the government.

Again, anyone who believes in global warming is a moron.

Gonna be a whole lotta nothin. Too bad. 'nother 12 inches of snow would have sweetened up the sleeding hills again.
