Call for Artists!

A Declaration of Art

Arc of Westchester's gallery265 celebrates our Citizenship

gallery265 celebrates the creative artwork of people with
developmental disabilities and community artists. Art exhibitions will be on display for approximately 3 months after their opening date.

Exhibition Opens:
Sunday, November 4th, 2012

Let’s create expressions of citizenship during this
political season. We encourage the artists to reflect on what being an American citizen means to them and translate this to an artistic creation through paintings, drawings, sculptures, photography, fabric, and more for the gallery exhibition.

Artistic expressions such as: flags, patriotic colors, historical themes, national treasures or landmarks,
historical leaders or documents, to name a few, can be used to excite the imagination. We ask that all participants refrain from political campaigning in their pieces of art, as well as being respectful of all views and opinions.
