Lyndhurst, a masterpiece of Gothic Revival architecture, evokes fascinating eras in American History. Designed by Alexander Jackson Davis, arguably the foremost architect of his day, Lyndhurst was home in succession to a two-time mayor of New York City, a successful merchant, and the infamous robber baron Jay Gould, whose fascinating daughters remained in the house through the mid-Twentieth century. Now a site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Lyndhurst is set along the Hudson River on beautifully landscaped grounds. Lyndhurst's mission is to represent these quintessentially American stories in a manner that enlightens-and delights.

Lyndhurst Mansion's tour schedule for 2012 runs Fridays through Sundays, with tours at regular intervals between 10 am - 5 pm. The last tour leaves at 4 pm each day. Group and School Tours may be scheduled during the week. The site's rolling 67-acre property including the Rose Garden is open to the public from dawn to dusk daily. Tours of the mansion are $12 for adults and $6 for children.

Lyndhurst grounds and mansion are available for weddings, corporate and other event rentals.
