Local Student Artwork Featured at the Katonah Museum of Art Young Artists Exhibition

Branchville Elementary School Student artists are among those represented,.

Students from local schools throughout Westchester County and parts of Connecticut gathered with their families on February 3 for the opening reception of the Young Artists exhibition at the Katonah Museum of Art.

This annual exhibition of student artwork—including some from Ridgefield's Branchville Elementary School—runs through Feburary 10 and gives aspiring artists an opportunity to participate in all aspects of a museum exhibition. With the guidance of professionals, the young artists organize, publicize, curate, and mount their own exhibition.

Celebrating its 30th year, the exhibition showcases the extraordinary talents of 300 high school seniors from 40 high schools in Westchester, Putnam, Rockland and Fairfield counties.

The Katonah Museum of Art is located at 134 Jay Street (Route 22) in Katonah, NY. For information call 914-232-9555 or visit http://www.katonahmuseum.org
