Neil Watson is stepping down from his executive director post at the Katonah Museum of Art after more than seven and a half years of leading the institution, according to a statement released by the board of trustees.
During his tenure, Neil served as a strong advocate and raised the profile of the Museum in the art community, overseeing critically acclaimed exhibitions and stewarding the expansion of the KMA's award-winning educational outreach and innovative family programs.
"We are grateful for his commitment and appreciate his significant contributions to the creative spirit of the KMA," said Rochelle C. Rosenberg, president of the Board of Trustees.
The board did not give a reason for his departure but said the search for a successor will begin immediately.
