Bedford 2020 is hosting a special screening of the landmark film, Days of Heaven, featuring its star, Richard Gere.
“The Oscar winning cinematography and beautiful landscapes in Days of Heaven offer a visual reminder of why it is so important to care for our environment,” commented Bedford 2020 Co-Founder, Olivia Farr, “We hope people will come see this stunning movie and in doing so, take a small step toward a more sustainable community. "
The evening begins at 6:30 pm with a wine reception and light appetizers from Mt. Kisco’s Ladle of Love. The screening starts at 7:30 pm, and is followed by a Q&A with Richard Gere, moderated by film commentator John Farr.
All funds raised from this event will support Bedford 2020 programs in the Bedford community and beyond.
Bedford 2020 has key projects that include Transportation, Home Energy Efficiency, Waste; Recycling, Water Protection and Local Food. Bedford 2020 recently hosted an Electric/Fuel Efficient Car Show (the first ever in NY State!) where residents were able see and experience the revolution that is happening in transportation today.
The Days of Heaven event will be held at the historic Avon Theater in Stamford, CT on Tuesday, June 4th. Tickets are limited and will be sold on a first-come basis.
