Chase Returning to Old Bedford Hills Building

Chase Bank is returning to its old outbuilding in the Bedford Green Plaza, the site’s landlord confirmed on Tuesday.

Jim Diamond, who owns Diamond Properties, told Patch that a lease was signed for the Bedford Hills structure in February. Chase will need approval from the Bedford Planning Board in order to move in; the application before the board is pending.

Chase’s old lease for the building, located off of Route 117, expired in April 2008 but Diamond says that the building was already vacant by then. Diamond acquired the plaza that same year.

The structure is an outbuilding in the plaza, and in contrast to the main structure it has become dilapidated; Diamond told Patch last year that improvements were not being made because tenants often want to do their own work.

Chase will also get a new facade, which Diamond said will be similar to the main building’s look.

Diamond, which is based in Mount Kisco, also owns The Park (333 N. Bedford Road in Mount Kisco) a former grocery warehouse whose tenants include Grand Prix New York and Saw Mill Club East.
