Richard's, Longtime Mount Kisco Institution, to Close

After 113 years in business, will soon close down, Mount Kisco Deputy Mayor (and part owner) George Griffin confirmed. A person at the store stated that no closure date is in place yet, although there will be liquidation sales. While Griffin could not be reached for follow up comments on the closure, at a landlords' work session with the Village Board of Trustees earlier this year, he that Richard's was having financial trouble.

Mt. Kisco Coach Diner Seeks Expansion

had an appearance before the Planning Board on Tuesday for site plan approval to expand its property, Building Inspector Austin Cassidy confirmed. The diner proposes to addition additions to the property that total roughly 1,250 square feet, according to Cassidy. Thirteen parking spaces would be added, with the demolition of the former Paul's Power building to the current diner's south helping in this effort. The most recent iteration of the plan includes changes to traffic flow and landscaping, according to Cassidy. The next Planning Board appearance date is tentatively set for June 12.

The diner has spent the last several years attempting to modify the property. In 2010, the Village Board of Trustees . According to Cassidy, the rezoning change gave both properties the same type of zone status.

Victoria's Secret Building to Be Subdivided; Financial Products Firm Moving In

The at 49 S. Moger Ave. is proposed to be subdivided, Cassidy confirmed, with a building permit currently being applied for. Under the proposal, a financial products firm - Cassidy declined to give the name because he was not sure if it's public information yet - will lease most of the section that faces the Shopper's Park parking lot, with a corridor preserved to give access to a prospective tenant that would lease the section facing South Moger.

Smith Cairns has recently left Mount Kisco for a vacant former car dealer space in Bedford Hills. Its vacated building, at 271 N. Bedford Rd., is now housing vehicles from Jim Harte Nissan, which is located next door. According to Cassidy, the Nissan dealer is taking over that space.

Former Flying Pig Chef in Talks to Lease Chappaqua Train Station
