The is working with local partners to host a social evening with food, music and nature this Thursday.
“Spring into Katonah: A Celebration of the Senses,” takes place May 24 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at in Somers.
"We wanted to plan something for adults to get out and enjoy what Katonah has to offer," said Cheryl Riina, chamber marketing and general manager.

For example, Caramoor representatives are bringing a Theramin. What's that, you ask? The grandfather of modern day synthesizers, the theramin is actually played without the musician making contact with the instrument. KMA is offering calligraphy as another hands-on activity and the Katonah Village Library will run a trivia contest.
After all that play, guests can take a garden tour with Lasdon’s horticulturist, view the Botanical Art Show in the main house and visit the garden shop. Items from the Muscoot Farm exhibit, Connecting to Our Collections, Interpreting our Agricultural, Cultural and Natural History, highlight the farm's role in Westchester’s rich history.
Admission is $20 per person, with proceeds to benefit the Lasdon Glass House Conservatory project and Katonah Chamber of Commerce. There's a rain date of Thursday, May 31.
Along with the event is part of the chamber's marketing campaign designed to showcase the town of Katonah as a town in which people can "shop, dine and play."
