Electric car maker Tesla Motors will be coming to Mount Kisco. A spokesman told Patch that a service center is planned with an opening by the end of this year.
"Customer convenience is a priority when it comes time to service Model S." spokesman Alexis Georgeson wrote in an email. "We open service centers based on where our customers are located and where we know we will have the highest density of Model S. The opening of our Mount Kisco service center is a testament to the fact that with our current customer base and future customers, we believe the area will be a strong market for us."
The site for the service center is at 115-125 Kisco Ave., according to the agenda for this Wednesday's architectural review board meeting. The board will consider a signage application for the site.
The proposal does not include a new store, however.
Currently, the closest service center is in White Plains, according to the company's website, with the nearest store also in the city.
