Vail Buick GMC celebrates Grand Re-Opening in Style

October 11th, 2013 – Bedford Hills, NY – Vail Buick GMC celebrates 25 years of success and growth as a family owned and operated car dealership in Bedford Hills NY by having a Grand Re-Opening of their dealership after a completion of a total renovation project. The Vail family has been in the automobile business since 1918 with Cullen Auto Sales in Ossining NY, selling Chevrolet and Oldsmobile’s and later at Vail Motors selling Dodge then Studebaker. Vail Buick GMC owner Robert Vail, got his start in the car business in 1965 when he went to work in one of the family’s early dealerships, Cullen Auto Sales. He continued working in the family dealership and eventually opened his own Chevrolet dealership, Vail Chevrolet in Harrison NY in 1982. He then opened Vail Buick Pontiac GMC at its current location in Bedford Hills NY in 1991 and introduced his son Greg into the family business in 2003.

Because of the long history of family ownership, Robert Vail has set up his business style to have his employees treat customers as if they are part of the family. Due to this philosophy, his dealership has one of the highest levels of customer satisfaction among GM dealerships in the NY Metro area. In 2008 when General Motors was cutting dealerships and closing down some of their brands, Bob Vail closed his Chevrolet dealership in Harrison and Pontiac was eliminated from his Bedford Hills location. As other GM dealerships were struggling with the revised organization his business continued to prosper. Many of his loyal customers from Vail Chevrolet in Harrison came up and started to buy GMC trucks and trade in their Chevys. His General Manager, Lawrence Parisi also made the move up to Bedford Hills and brought along many of his loyal customers.

Recently the dealership underwent a major renovation project that completely updated the entire dealership from the inside out. “The new facility is absolutely gorgeous” says Bob Vail, “photos don’t do it justice which is why we are having this Grand Re-Opening event this Columbus Day weekend, including being open on Sunday for the 1st time in our dealership history” adds son Greg Vail, Vice President of the company. “During the renovation, we added many features and amenities our customers have asked for in the past, like free Wi-Fi and a large flat screen TV and comfortable living room style chairs in the new customer lounge area, a snack and refreshment area with complimentary hot and cold beverages, and an accessories wall where customers can see many different options available to personalize their vehicles”. The dealership is also ADA compliant with a handicap accessible ramp and a stair lift in our new service write up area”.

Service customers can opt to be taken to their home, office or local transportation centers via the complimentary courtesy shuttle, set up a free loaner car, or they can wait in the spacious customer lounge.
