On New Year's Eve, La Panetière in Rye Will Serve Breast of Quail, Duck Foie Gras, and Tian of Scallops

Jacques Loupiac's La Panetière in Rye will serve a five-course, prix-fixe dinner at two seatings on New Year's Eve, December 31, 2013.

The dishes offered at both seatings are identical and include Duck Foie Gras, Tian of Scallops and Breast of Quail. Guests at the second seating will receive party favors.

The options available and cost:

  • First seating. Reservations can be made for 5:30 or 6 p.m. $115 per person for dinner. For dinner with wine pairing, the cost is $160. Tax and gratuity are additional. 
  • Second seating. Reservations can be made for 9 or 9:30 p.m. $150 per person for dinner. For dinner with wine pairing, the cost is $195. Tax and gratuity are additional. 
The evening's five-course menu follows:
  1. HAMACHI TARTAR.
  2. TERRINE OF DUCK FOIE GRAS. Salad of mache, French radish, Asian pear, candied kumquat, aged sherry vinaigrette
  3. TIAN OF DAY BOAT SCALLOPS. Tomato fondue, mushrooms, spinach, champagne sauce
  4. BONELESS BREAST OF QUAIL. Perigord truffles and corn risotto
  5. PALETTE OF DESSERTS. Selected desserts served during the year 2013 are revisited
Dinner will be followed by a champagne toast and a serving of petits fours.

Changes in the menu may be made by the chef. Substitutions are available to patrons.

The restaurant celebrated its 28th anniversary in August. It will be closed for vacation from January 1 through 14, 2014.
