Cross River Woman Continues Quest on ‘Millionaire’

You'll have to tune-in on Thursday, Nov. 29 at 12:30 p.m. to see if Jill Proskin will be able to correctly answer her ninth question on the show.

She is just a few questions away from making some of her dreams a reality.

Jill Proskin, a Cross River resident who has been a sixth-grade teacher at the Yorktown Central School District for 20 years, appeared on "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" in the episode airing on Wednesday, Nov. 28 on ABC, channel 7.

Proskin made it up to her eighth question on Wednesday’s show and will continue as a holdover contestant on Thursday’s show where she will start by looking at her ninth question with an accumulated 'Millionaire Bank' of $35,500 and no lifelines left.

After Proskin’s questions and money in the first round were both shuffled, it was revealed that her seventh question would be her "Double Money" question. She ended up correctly answering that question, which ended up being worth $2,000. The woman doubled that amount and added $4,000 to her 'Millionaire Bank.'

The Cross River woman's ninth question from Thursday's episode is "What would Babe Ruth's name have been if changed to reflect his jersey number in the same manner as football's Chad Ochocinco?"

You'll have to tune-in on Thursday, Nov. 29 at 12:30 p.m. to see if Proskin will be able to correctly answer the question.

If she guesses incorrectly, she will fall back to $1,000 in winnings. If she answers correctly, she will continue on with the game. She also has the option of not guessing and walking away with half of her accumulated 'Millionaire Bank.'

This is a terrific addition to town! I know I struggle with mounting piles of things to donate andRead More finding places to give to. With the Community Center and now Goodwill, great to find a second home for goods.
