Farmer & The Fish Makes Westchester Mag's Best New Restaurant List

The North Salem fish destination is included in the magazine's "Best New Westchester Restaurants of 2012."

When Farmer & The Fish opened last March, owner Ed Taylor said he hoped it would become a food destination for locals.

The restaurant received praise from Patch readers for its food, despite some wait times:

"Wait staff sounds like its getting better then it was—our service was very good —food did take a little long to come out, but very good." -Woody Kaplan

"My husband and I enjoyed a delicious dinner last night! Everything we ordered was scrumptious w excellent presentation! We arrived at 6 pm and ordered appetizers.....so waiting a bit for dinner was fine! -Jane Goetz

And now it has been included on Westchester Magazine's "Best New Westchester Restaurants of 2012." Farmer & The Fish is among 11 other restaurants chosen by the magazine, including Hudson at Haymount House in Briarcliff Manor and Jewel of Himalaya in Yorktown Heights.

The magazine says the restaurant has been "a hit since the word go," and called it "...the restaurant for well-heeled locals who can’t fly to their Nantucket homes for the night."
