All are welcome to play table table tennis for free today at the Westchester Table Tennis Center in Pleasantville from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Paddles, balls and beverages will be provided.
The “open house”-style is sponsored by Examiner Media, the publisher of the Examiner, which serves Pleasantville and the surrounding area; The Northern Westchester Examiner; The White Plains Examiner; The Putnam Examiner; and TheExaminerNews.com.
The first-annual Media Table Tennis Cup will be held between 2 to 4 p.m. At stake is a $250 donation to the government body represented by the winning official or to the winner’s favorite charity. The winner will also be awarded a trophy.
Robert Roberts, one of the top players in the country, manages the site which is owned by Will Shortz, editor of The New York Times’ crossword puzzle.
