Bedford Cops Handled Complaint Against Condo Head Who Pleaded Guilty to Fraud

Initial complaint noted missing funds in the amount of about $230,000.

Peter Iovino, a real estate agent who acted as the leader of the Bedford Terrace Condo Association, will be sentenced this spring in connection with felony fraud charges.

That's according to this LoHud.com report, which states that Iovino pleaded guilty in federal court earlier this month.

Iovino is accused of using the organization's money for personal gains.

A complaint naming Iovino—and referencing the possible embezzlement of about $230,000—was filed with the Bedford Police Department in October 2011, Lt. Jeffrey Dickan told Patch. Shortly thereafter, officials turned the investigation over to the FBI and the office of the US attorney.
