Katonah Parade, Carnival Opens Today

Rain or shine - the parade marches on, say fire officials. Cancellation is only in the event of extreme thunder and lightning.

Everyone loves a parade—and the Katonah Fireman's parade is no exception. Here's what you should know before you go to the Parade and Carnival, which open Wednesday.

We've gathered what you need to know about weather, roads and prices and hours and posted it all below.

Forecast

According to the National Weather Service, there's a 40 percent chance of showers Wednesday, with thunderstorms also possible after 1 p.m. It'll be mostly cloudy, with a high near 73. For the evening, there's a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11 p.m.

At best, wear a sweatshirt and keep the umbrella down. Worst case? Bring the galoshes and the golf umbrella. The parade goes on unless there's a threat of thunder and lightning. But do check with Patch for cancellations.

Parade Route and Road Closures

Beginning at 3 p.m. cars will be towed from the following roads:

Huntville Road
New Street
Valley Rd from New St to Valley Edge
Valley Edge
Edgemont Rd from Valley Edge to Parkway
Parkway East to Bedford Rd
Bedford Rd South from Parkway to Katonah Ave
Allen Place.

The above roads will be closed from 6 p.m. until the conclusion of the parade.

Hours for Parade and Carnival

The parade starts at 7 p.m. and the carnival opens at 7 p.m. on Wed June 6 and closes at 10 p.m.

Thursday June 7 and Friday June 8, the carnival opens at 6 p.m. and closes at 10 p.m.

Saturday June 9, the carnival opes at 1:00 pm and closes at 11 p.m.

Ride Specials / Carnival bracelet

Thurs. June 7, you can ride all night for one price from 6-10 pm. Sat. June 9 ride all afternoon for one price from 1-5 pm.

You can now pay in advance for your ride bracelets with a credit card. Bring a printout of your receipt with you to the carnival as confirmation Pick up your bracelets in the express pickup line for unlimited rides on Thurs. June 7.

Ride all night for $22 from 6-10 pm OR Sat. June 9th ride all afternoon for $22 from 1-5 pm.

Note: Bracelet is valid for one session per bracelet only. If rides are closed due to weather on Thursday night prior to redeeming, bracelet will be valid for the Sat. one price ride session or a refund may be requested. Refunds in case of weather cancellation will be given only with a written request to the email donations@katonahfd.org within 30 days of payment. Refunds will only be made as credit to original payment method
