Labor Day: What's Open, Closed, and Happening
Here's what you need to know about today's holiday.
1. Events, entertainment today
is from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. today at . Dozens of antiques dealers will have antiques and collectibles on display. The Friends of Lasdon will also be holding a plant sale and Gary Dillon will be holding a signing. Food will be available for purchase. Bring items for appraisal between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. ($5 each). It's $7 to enter and free for children under 12

2. Government offices, banks, libraries and schools are closed

B, U.S. Post offices and state government offices are closed. Libraries are closed. All re-open Tuesday morning.
3. Food markets are open
Most grocers are open Monday. DeCicco's in Cross River is open until 7 p.m., the A&P supermarkets and will be open for regular hours, and Sgaglio's in Katonah will be open from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m.
4. Liquor and wine shops are open, some restaurants have shorter hours
If you need to grab some last minute beverages for your Labor Day barbecue, many liquor shops are open, including and and , which will be open from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
If you want to skip the backyard barbecue and go out to eat, many local restaurants will be open. Look up individual restaurants in our Patch directory and give a call before heading out.
5. Gas stations are open
Though their mini-marts will be closed, most gas stations, including the and the will be open for pumping gas.
