Margaret “Peggy” Montemurro, 91, of South Salem, died Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Putnam Hospital Center of Carmel.
Peggy was born on Nov 1, 1921 in Yonkers. She was a Legal Secretary for many years and a former member of the Lewisboro Senior Citizens.
Peggy was predeceased by her husband, Rocco A Montemurro on Feb 15, 2003. and is survived by her loving daughters: Susan Mascia of Carmel and Bette-Jean Tefft of Nassau, NY; four devoted grandchildren, Robert Williams of Danbury, CT; Tracy Kennedy of Lake Carmel, NY; Noah Tefft of Portland, OR; Lucy Tefft of Nassau and five great grandchildren: Tyler, Caroline, Stephanie, Jadyn and Lianna.
Friends may visit on Thursday, November 29 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY.
The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, November 30 at 11:00am.
Interment will follow at the South Salem Cemetery, Spring Street, South Salem, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Putnam Humane Society, Carmel, NY. www.puthumane.org
