Patch Picks: Renaissance Day at Caramoor; Nyack Jazz Week; Family Film Frenzy

There is something for everyone to do this week in the Hudson Valley.

. July 22. 12:30 p.m. Travel back in time to the 16th century Italy and England with William Shakespeare. Enjoy music, dance performances, street theater, falcons and more. Feel free to come in costume and pack a picnic. $10. , 149 Girdle Ridge Rd., Katonah.

. July 24. 7 p.m. Every Tuesday through Aug. 14 between 7 and 9 p.m. enjoy free concerts on The Green. Bring a blanket and beach chairs to enjoy Tri-State area bands perform live. Free. , 8000 Mall Walk, Yonkers.

 July 25. 7 p.m. Head to Glen Island Beach on Wednesday for a screeningof Cars (2006, rated G), the latest installment in the Family Film Frenzy series at Westchester County Parks. (Rain date July 26.) Festivities include the movie and swimming, which is normally allowed only during the day. The movie begins at sundown. Bring a blanket, chairs and picnic, or hit the concession stand. $5 movie tickets go on sale noon on the day of the movie, while supplies last. , Weyman Avenue, New Rochelle.

. July 22. 11 a.m. Enjoy the splendor of the Hudson River on a three-hour sightseeing cruise aboard the Evening Star. Cruise departs every Thursday, Friday and Sunday from Riverfront Green Park. Head north into the Hudson Highlands to West Point area. There is a canopy-covered open deck, which is perfect for a picnic. $25. , 50 Hudson Ave., Peekskill.

July 27. 7 p.m. Make your way to Engel Park, across the street from the Ossining train station, on Friday nights and listen to live music, eat fresh food and soak in the view. Concerts are Friday nights through Aug. 31, weather permitting.
