Race Finishers, 9/11 Events, Womens Club Meetings

It's 5 things you need to know Monday.

1. New book clubs

Are your kids too "old" for story hours (though you're never too old to be read to, some say!)? Maybe they'd like to try joining a book group. has a new group monthly meeting for 8 - 10 year olds that meets Sept. 20. They're reading The Unwanteds, by Lisa McMann. Call 232-7278 to reserve your spot. Book Club books must be purchased at Little Joe’s Books, and there is a $5 event fee for pizza, drinks and dessert. Check your library branch for other clubs: Katonah Village Library has a new Sci-Fi book club, meets September 15th at 1:30 pm. (Decisions will be made with regard to future meetings and books to read. For more information call 914-232-3508). "InBeTween Pages," at Bedford Hills Library meets Sept. 12.

What do you do to commemorate the events of 9/11? After the marking of the ten-year anniversary of that traumatic day in New York history, many local organizations continue to plan ways for local to gather and remember the fallen. 4. Women's Clubs meet

The of Katonah meets this Thursday: Members old, new and potential are invited to attend a mid-morning coffee hosted by the Women's Civic Club of Katonah at the club's Memorial House, 71 Bedford Road, Katonah, on Thursday, September 20. Doors open at 10:30 a.m.

Also the Bedford Hills Women's Club meets on Sept. 11 at 10:15 a.m. at the . Meetings are the secont Tuesday of each month from September through June. For more information contact realdoll@aol.com.
