SALVAGE LOGGING TIMBER SALES TO MAKE MONEY! PLEASE CONTACT NYFOA, THE NYSDEC, BEDFORD 2020 AND THE WATERSHED AGRICULTURAL COUNCIL TO LEARN HOW TO LOG YOUR TREES AND SELL THEM TO SAWMILLS. 1. leave the branches on to dry the wood. 2. Contact the WAC to create a timber sale and reforestation plan. 3. Log in Winter when ground is frozen. 4. Reforestin April with bare root seedlings from the NYSDEC instead of ball and burlap or containers which often have root defects, leading to wind throw. 5. Put the remaining wood through a wood mizer portable sawmill. This helps to save wilderness forests from senseless logging while reducing Co2 for Bedford 2020. PLease do not pay to throw away your wood. It is beautiful-maple, ash, pine, cherry, etc.
