Weekend Plans: Purim, Music and Energy Efficiency

Here's a list of weekend events in Bedford, Katonah and nearby for the weekend of Feb. 22, 2013.

From dinner and dancing, to a new exhibit at the Katonah Museum of Art, to a Purim carnival and religious service at Temple Shaaray Tefila, to learning how to make your home more energy efficient, there's plenty to do right here in town this weekend.

Our featured event is High tea and conversation with Alex Shoumatoff at the Waccabuc Country Club Carriage House, funded by the Jerome Levy Foundation and hosted by Westchester Land Trust and Lewisboro Land Trust, described as such: An "author and historian will present the history of the great estates of Northern Westchester, particularly South Salem, and how these estates influenced local conservation efforts. Philip Kunhardt, a gifted and inspiring speaker, author and historian, will introduce the program."
